MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

My name is Pamela. I started studying Arts in 1986, and in 2012, I received my MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Montana School of Art. Although I have worked in many media, my special interest lies in cold wax/oil, encaustic, mixed media, and acrylic.
My work is featured in the permanent collection of several museums and public buildings nationally and internationally. Furthermore, my work is also published in the book "Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts, Conversations" by Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin I have over 30 years of work experience and have successfully taught art to 10K+ students. MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Hi, I’m Pamela Caughey. I grew up in Wisconsin, where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UW-Madison in 1983. After moving to Hamilton, MT, in 1986, I began studying art. In 2012 received my MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Montana School of Art. I work in many media; however, I have a special interest in cold wax/oil, encaustic, mixed media, and acrylic. You can also find my work in the permanent collection of several museums and public buildings nationally and internationally. My work also appeared in the newly published book by Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin, “Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts, Conversations.” After teaching foundations courses at the University of Montana, Bitterroot College, Montana, I have started a full-time studio artist and teaches workshops from her Hamilton, Montana studio, within the US and abroad. .
